Meet Patrick: Building The Future Of Global E-Invoicing

As global e-invoicing requirements continue evolving, businesses are looking for solutions that simplify compliance while still supporting long-term international growth. For Storecove CEO Patrick, that balance between scalability and simplicity is at the center of everything the company is building.

As CEO, Patrick’s primary role is making sure the company stays aligned with its long-term strategy while also ensuring the team remains motivated, collaborative, and connected as Storecove continues scaling globally.

Building A Company Without Ego

When asked what he enjoys most about working at Storecove, Patrick immediately points to the company culture.

Storecove operates with a very flat structure where everyone is treated as an equal contributor regardless of role or department. For Patrick, one of the most important parts of building the company has been creating an environment without ego where collaboration comes naturally and people genuinely enjoy working together.

That culture-first mindset is something he believes has played a major role in Storecove’s growth over the last several years.

Scaling Businesses And Expanding Globally

Over the last decade, Patrick has helped scale several companies across different industries and stages of growth.

At Storecove, one of the milestones he is especially proud of is successfully establishing the company as a platform provider in France. With France becoming one of the most significant and technically complex e-invoicing markets globally, positioning Storecove there represented a major step forward in the company’s international expansion strategy.

As governments continue introducing new mandates across Europe and beyond, Patrick sees interoperability and scalable infrastructure becoming increasingly critical for businesses operating internationally.

Simplifying Global E-Invoicing

When asked to describe Storecove, Patrick keeps the answer simple:

“The easiest way to do e-invoicing.”

For him, that philosophy drives everything Storecove builds. The goal is to simplify global compliance and enable businesses to connect internationally without having to manage separate APIs, formats, and country-specific integrations themselves.

Patrick often compares Storecove’s interoperability model to a mobile phone network. Just as someone can call another person anywhere in the world using a single phone number, businesses using Storecove can exchange invoices globally through a single connection.

Collaboration Drives Growth

Partnerships and collaboration play a huge role in Storecove’s growth strategy.

Patrick believes e-invoicing is not something companies can solve alone. Storecove works closely with ERP systems, bookkeeping providers, authorities, and local partners to help businesses remain compliant as mandates continue to evolve across countries such as France, Belgium, Germany, Malaysia, and beyond.

For Patrick, these relationships are not transactional. They are long-term partnerships built around helping businesses navigate increasingly complex compliance environments in a scalable way.

The Most Rewarding Part Of Building Storecove

While Storecove’s global growth continues accelerating, Patrick says the most rewarding part of the journey has been the team itself.

Many employees have joined in the last few years, and watching the company continue to grow while maintaining its collaborative culture is something he values deeply. He especially enjoys this phase of growth where the organization remains agile, highly collaborative, and less restricted by layers of hierarchy often found in much larger companies.

Outside The Traditional CEO Role

One thing many people would probably be surprised to learn about Patrick’s role is that when working from the Netherlands office, he prepares lunch for the team on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

It is a small tradition that reflects the family-oriented environment Storecove has built internally, and one that has become especially appreciated across the office.

Looking Toward The Future

Patrick’s long-term vision for Storecove is clear: to become the global standard in e-invoicing.

As interoperability, digital compliance, and cross-border invoice exchange continue to grow in importance worldwide, Patrick believes businesses should be able to scale internationally without constantly rebuilding their infrastructure or worrying about behind-the-scenes regulatory changes.

At Storecove, the mission remains focused on making global e-invoicing as simple, scalable, and connected as possible.

If He Could Swap Roles For A Day

When asked which role at Storecove he would swap into for a day, Patrick immediately pointed toward the technical side of the company.

He says he would choose to take on CTO Michael Rivera’s role to better understand the API architecture and the development work happening behind the scenes as Storecove continues to scale globally.

Of course, Patrick also joked that the added benefit would be access to Michael’s house in Italy, near a famous wine region.
