Need to send e-invoices to other countries? You may encounter a few problems while doing so. Ever since the European directive (2014/55 / EU) stipulated that all contracting authorities are required to receive and process e-invoices by the end of 2018 it is no longer sufficient to send PDF files by e-mail.

Converting to the correct e-invoice format
Below you will find examples of e-invoice formats. If, for example, you are a German company that needs to send an e-invoice to the Italian government, you need to send FatturaPA invoices.
Germany, however, has a different e-invoicing standard, the ZUGFeRD. This forces the German company to find a way to also create FatturaPA invoices, even though most German systems don't. This causes them to lose time and perhaps even money.
