Doing business in France? New e-invoicing and e-reporting rules take effect from September 2026. 

Businesses will need to comply with Factur-X, UBL, or CII formats while transmitting invoices through a government-approved service provider (PA).

  • September 1, 2026: All businesses must be able to receive e-invoices. Large & mid-sized companies must issue e-invoices and report transaction data to tax authorities via a government-approved PA (Plateforme Agréée).
  • September 1, 2027: All SMEs, small businesses, and micro-enterprises must issue e-invoices and report transaction data to the French tax authorities via a PA.
