Legislation:

April 2019: Directive 2014/55/EU transposed: all public entities must be able to receive and process electronic invoices in accordance with the European Standard on e-invoicing (EN-16931).

April 2019: It is mandatory for public sector suppliers to send electronic invoices for all contracts signed after 1 April 2019.

April 2021: Contracting authorities and units in Sweden must be able to accommodate e-invoices in Peppol BIS Billing version 3.0, which follows European standard EN 16931.
