E-invoicing in Romania

As of 2024, all domestic B2B invoices in Romania must be issued in a structured XML format, adhering to Romania’s RO_CIUS guidelines and submitted through e-Factura. Non-compliance may result in substantial fines, especially as enforcement increases post-Q1 2024.

In order to become compliant with these Romanian e-invoicing regulations, you simply have to connect your ERP or financial system to our RESTful JSON API (developer needed):

  • Businesses are required to submit e-invoices to the RO e-Factura system, where ANAF handles validation and archiving. With our solution, we make sure your e-invoices are submitted to RO e-Factura.
  • If the recipient is not Romanian, we will automatically schedule a secondary delivery action which is either an Exchange network (Peppol, DBNAlliance) or email.

With the upcoming EU ViDA regulations, cross-border e-invoicing will soon become mandatory, and we’re ready to support “ViDA-compliant” invoicing.
